A quick rebuild has the Orioles as a team that can win a World Series this season, despite how young their roster is.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.si.com\/.image\/ar_1:1%2Cc_fill%2Ccs_srgb%2Cfl_progressive%2Cg_xy_center%2Cq_auto:good%2Cw_1200%2Cx_3870%2Cy_2033\/MjA0MDkyOTMzMTkwNzIzMDY3\/usatsi_21636605.jpg\" alt=\"New York Yankees Manager Shares Interesting Opinion on Baltimore Orioles -  Sports Illustrated Baltimore Orioles News, Analysis and More\" width=\"434\" height=\"434\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Doing so won&#8217;t be an easy task. The\u00a0New York Yankees,\u00a0Tampa Bay Rays, and\u00a0Toronto Blue Jays\u00a0are expected to be in the mix to win the American League East, but after last season, the division runs through Baltimore.<\/p>\n<p>Many believe that the American League East is the best division in baseball and that&#8217;s tough to argue when all teams are healthy.<\/p>\n<p>Yankees manager Aaron Boone recognizes that and spoke about the challenge that awaits his team, according to\u00a0Greg Joyce\u00a0of the New York Post:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think they\u2019ll be really good again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The signs are there for the Orioles to be one of the top teams in baseball again. With the addition of Corbin Burnes and Jackson Holliday&#8217;s potential debut, they added to what was already an impressive roster.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLooking forward to that challenge. Obviously, they\u2019ve come fully out of their rebuild and established a really good young core of players. It\u2019s the American League East. You always look forward to going up against the best, but certainly they are formidable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Boone&#8217;s comments show a clear respect for them.<\/p>\n<p>As Baltimore heads into the 2024 season, expectations are at an all-time high. While that can be difficult for young teams, they proved last season that pressure won&#8217;t get to them.<\/p>\n<p>Winning a series in the postseason will be their next goal after being swept in the ALDS by the\u00a0Texas Rangers\u00a0last year.
