Brian Daboll has had his fair share of media moments. His latest one could possibly be one of the best in recent history. During Friday’s press conference, the Athletic’s Dan Duggan was ready to ask the New York Giants head coach about his preparation for the final game of the season.
Daboll did not seem to pay attention to what Duggan was saying; rather, his gaze was somewhere else. He was apparently looking at the reporter’s head. Daboll cut him mid-sentence and said,
Sorry, I’m looking at your hair.
Duggan took the cue and replied with a retort of his own.
Jealous?
The entire room full of reporters burst out into laughter upon hearing the exchange. Daboll responded, pointing at his bald head.
That’s been about thirty years. You should flip your phone around and take a look at it.
This might be the greatest coach/reporter exchange I've seen all season.

Duggan later took to social media to explain the scenario in detail. It turns out he was trying to save himself from the rough New York weather.

Brian Daboll lauded the contributions of Darius Slayton
The 2023 season is a complete U-turn from Brian Daboll’s first season for the Giants. Last season, he took the Big Apple franchise to the playoffs since 2016 and even bagged the coach of the year award. With just one game left to go this season, the Giants are 5-11 and have no hope for post-season football.
Yet there have been a few players that fans can be proud of and look forward to coaching next season. On top of the list has to be fourth-year wide receiver Darius Slayton . He appeared in every game of the ongoing season, catching 46 passes for 724 yards and two touchdowns. While he won’t match the touchdown tally of his rookie season, Slayton can easily cross his receiving yards record of 751 in his second year in 2020.

I just go from our experience with him. He’s done a nice job. We talked about last year and the stuff he’s done, but he’s a big play guy and made some plays down the field. He has more production in the NFL than he did in college, so that’s hard to do sometimes. Brian Daboll told Sports Illustrated
The Giants’ final game of the season against the NFC East rivals the Philadelphia Eagles (11-5) at the MetLife Stadium. It doesn’t have much implications for Daboll’s men per se, but it’s a must-win game for the Eagles to jump ahead of the Dallas Cowboys to clinch the Division title.
