Jalen Brunson Makes Knicks Franchise History in Amazing Performance Vs. Milwaukee Bucks

The Milwaukee Bucks took down the New York Knicks on Saturday in what was a matinee preview of Saturday’s main event. When the lights were the brightest, however, it was the Knicks who secured a huge victory, logging a 129-122 Christmas Day victory over their Eastern Conference rivals.

Unsurprisingly, it was Jalen Brunson who led the charge for New York, en route to breaking a 39-year franchise record for the Knicks.

Brunson was pretty much an unstoppable force on Monday, going off for a game-high 38 points on 15-of-28 shooting, four rebounds, six assists, a steal, a triple, and zero turnovers in 37 minutes of play.

Knicks fans haven’t seen this type of performance for nearly four decades as Brunson is now the record-holder for the most Christmas Day points in franchise history since the great Bernard King dropped 60 in 1984.

Just to be mentioned in the same breath as King is an ultimate honor for any Knick. This is definitely the case for Brunson, who once again proved on Monday that he is indeed a bona fide superstar in the NBA.

Thanks to Brunson’s heroics, the Knicks have now also put an end to Milwaukee’s nine-game winning streak over New York, which extends all the way back to November 10, 2021.

The Knicks have now cut down the season deficit against Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. to 3-1, and they will be looking to make it 3-2 when these two teams take the court again on April 7 at the Fiserv Forum.
